Twenty (20) Production Teams compete to see who can make the best 5-minute short film in 120 hours!
Registration opens - Thursday, January 23 at 12noon. Teams will sign up and pay the entry fee of $21 per Team. There is no limit to the number of participants allowed in each Production Team.
All cast members acting in the films must be current Playhouse West members. The production crews may consist of former Playhouse West members and individuals outside of Playhouse West.
Competition begins - on Thursday, February 6 at the Festival Kick Off Meting at 3pm. Each team will receive a log-line that must be represented in the storytelling of the film. At 4pm, the clock starts ticking! The teams will then have 120 hours to write, cast, shoot and edit their 5-minute short film which then must be submitted by 4pm - Tuesday, February 11.
Screening - All completed films will be screened the following weekend, Saturday,
February 15 - 7pm at Playhouse West - Magnolia 1.( 10634 Magnolia Bl., NoHo.)
Following the screening, a Competition Committee will present awards for Best Actor and Actress, Best Short Film, and several surprise award catagories!
Winners of the Best Short Film award will be automatically selected and screened at the Playhouse West Film Festival in the Spring of 2021.
