We will deconstruct these three classic films to explore writing, directing, acting and cinematic contributions the film artists made in telling these stories. One of the great classic films of all time! Filmmaking at it's finest! THE CINCINNATI KID Sunday, March 24, 2019 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Director Norman Jewison and actor Steve McQueen are masters of their crafts! Thematically strong, masterful writing, brilliant acting! An all-star cast! We will go through each film, scene-by-scene, breaking down the essential principles of screenwriting, story construction, acting, directing and film-making, discovering what the filmmaker and actors did to dramatize the theme/premise and the spines of the characters. We will deconstruct the characters, including their three-dimensional design, to understand how they were created specifically to tell this story. A serious, detailed, intense, faced-paced class, instructive for all actors, writers, directors, producers… literally anyone in the business of making movies. If you want to make great movies, study and understand the best. Watching the film in advance is advised but not required. |
