After being crowned the lead of the school play, Ella begins to believe that she can control the outcomes of her life through prayer. When tragedy strikes, Ella believes it was her own prayers that were the cause. It’s a charming and chilling film about entering womanhood, the loss of innocence and the universal experiences of feeling guilt and shame in childhood.
