ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Doug Van Bebber is an award-winning writer, producer and director. He has written and produced a number of Emmy nominated series for NBC, ABC and CW Network. His short films have screened at dozens of top film festivals and have been honored with Best Film, Best Screenplay and Audience Choice awards. His films have also been picked up for international distribution including HBO & Showtime and have qualified for an Academy Award nomination.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

​​We all have something to say…What’s your story?

Doug Van Bebber will be teaching a short- film screenwriting class. In this class, you will learn the ins and outs of the craft of screenwriting--from screenplay structure, to conflict, to writing compelling dialogue.

In addition to writing your own short film scripts, you will also have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers from the entertainment industry, including Development Executives and producers from top production companies like HBO, Viacom, and John Legend’s Get Lifted Productions.
