Film Screenings

WAYWARD KIN (2025)

Adam Lowder directs, acts, co-wrote and co-produced the film with David Joseph Volino, who stars as Caleb, a father who sets off an incendiary custody battle with his ex when he picks their daughter up from school after being released from jail.

The filmmakers hope this film inspires fellow artists to collaborate with one another and to strive against all odds within the industry to tell the story in their hearts by any means necessary.

Lowder and Volino have both participated in and been inspired by the Playhouse West Film Festival-Philadelphia, which served as a springboard for further collaboration in their filmmaking journeys.

Three additional cast members of the film are former Playhouse West students and Lowder sought to create an environment in which the principles taught at PW were on full display in this film which should edify the learning process of those currently enrolled in the PW program.

We hope you enjoy the film and we look forward to meeting you all and connecting through the power of storytelling. Thank you for having us!
